Qualifications:

Education:

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to being enrolled in high school, preferably an employee possessing a high school diploma or GED. 

Experience:

Prior pool maintenance experience is preferred. CPO Certified.

Licenses and Certifications:

Certified Pool Operator license preferred.

About the Role:

To properly maintain pools and spas on the property, along with outside recreation area. The individual must monitor pool chemicals and equipment to maintain proper working order.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains pools, whirlpools, fountains, and spa, including filters and cleaning.
  • Ensures the pool deck is in proper order, umbrellas are up, chairs are straight, trash picked up, decks are sprayed down, and areas are clean. 

  • Reads and maintains pool chemicals to make sure they are at proper levels. Logs chemicals.
  • Makes sure pump stations and equipment are working properly, if not make sure it is addressed to the appropriate person.

Supportive Functions:

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, at the discretion of the manager based on the particular requirements of the hotel.

  • Helps out with pool equipment repair.
  • Makes sure working areas are clean and organized.
  • Assists other departments, if needed.

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • Enjoy working in an outside environment
  • Knowledge of the pools and Hotel.
  • Must be able to tolerate environmental conditions, sometimes extreme.
  • Must be able to lift 90 lbs., carry, reach, bend and twist.
