About the Role:

To prepare food for our associates that will meet or exceed their expectations.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepares cafeteria and all cold foods, salads, platters, trays, and salad dressings according to Hilton standards. Refreshes ice on salad bar and restocks plates, plastic ware, and condiments.

  • Maintains the employee cafeteria in a clean and sanitary condition, including the following; sweeps and mops the floors daily, wipes down counters, empties trash, dusts and wipes down tables, cleans glass on buffet line, wipes down trash containers, and cleans area around beverage station, and sanitizes and cleans the soda and juice dispenser.
  • Ensures all products and procedures follow health code regulations.
  • Ensures all products are properly stored and labeled.

Supportive Functions:

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, at the discretion of the manager based on the particular requirements of the hotel.

  • Must possess a basic knowledge of fundamental cooking.
  • Must possess a basic knowledge of sanitation standards.
  • Ability to read English and understand banquet event orders.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work at a quick and efficient pace.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • Ability to operate kitchen and food service equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to fill out a food requisition.
  • Ability to work in a quick and efficient manner.
