Qualification Standards:
Education:
Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. High school education is preferred but not required.
Experience:
Prior banquet and/or hospitality experience is preferred.
Licenses or certificates:
None are required for hire, but alcohol awareness and safety awareness courses will be required during employment.
Grooming:
All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with policy set forth by the management of the Hilton Sandestin Beach & Golf Resort. Issued uniforms must be maintained and always worn while on property

Position Purpose:
Assist in the setup of continentals and coffee break functions and service of food and/or beverages in a friendly, courteous and professional manner according to the Hilton’s high standards of quality.
Essential Functions:
Assist in set up of break tables to include linen, service ware, glassware and decorations.
Serve the food and/or beverage in the order and expectation of the guest and banquet department to ensure consistency throughout the banquet function. Promptly bus dishes as needed for required by needs of function.
Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
Assist in the cleaning and resetting of banquet rooms and breaks according to banquet function sheet specifications to ensure the readiness of the room for the following function. Assist in the cleaning of all service areas to ensure a safe working environment.
Requisition and store all items needed for successful operation of the Banquet Coffee Break Department.
Complete extra assignments designated by Director of Banquets or Asst. Banquet Manager.
Attend all required safety and training seminars.
Supportive Functions:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.
Perform all assigned side work to include replenishing condiments and restocking banquet shelves with supplies.
Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products, as assigned, to adhere to health standards.
Periodical assistance in support of stewarding and banquet set up staff.
Abide by all Federal, State and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
