Prior host experience preferred.
Greeting and escorting guests to tables in the restaurant, maintaining menu cleanliness. Maintaining a courteous and efficient operation of the dinning room to ensure guest satisfaction.
Meet and greet guests as they arrive, offer choice of seating, then escort them to their table and assisting with chairs. Present menus, inform guest of servers name and wish them an enjoyable meal.
Maintain proper set-up of dining room, review reservations for special needs, arrange floor plan, maintain cover count sheet and seating distribution to ensure guest satisfaction.
Answer reservations calls accurately, recording these in the reservation book.
Thank guest and wish them a good day/evening.
Effectively communicate with customers and staff in a high volume, fast paced environment.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.
Maintain an open line of communication between guests, management and line employees.
Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning, assisting with side duties.
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Hilton from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
