Laundry Attendant

Housekeeping & Laundry

None required, laundry experience preferred.

Position Purpose:

To assure the proper washing and drying of laundry to keep Hilton’s high standards of quality.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operator washers, dryers, ironer, mangler and towel folder. Report any engineering issues to housekeeping office.

  •  Load and unload laundry from machines.

  • Sort and stretch linen. Identify any stained or torn linen and discard appropriately.

  • Certain items must be neatly hand folded.

  • Monitor chemicals to ensure they are properly working. Report any concerns to to housekeeping office.

  • Maintain the two chute rooms by keeping the area clean, sorting the linen, and bringing to the laundry area for washing.

  • Clean up machines and surrounding areas.

  • Assist houseman by taking linen to the floors.


Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Hilton from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.


Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.


Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Hilton rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities. Employees who violate Hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
