Job Summary:
The Spa Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for the reception area at the spa. Includes the greeting of all guests, answering phone calls, assisting guests with questions regarding spa services and products, booking all appointments, checking the guest into the computer system and charging for services performed.
Position Purpose:
To implement guest services in scheduling appointments, retail sales and membership sales.
To greet and welcome all guests coming into the spa
To provide personal attention to the guests.
To arrange for all spa appointments for ala carte services/activities and packages.
To be the initial and complete source of information regarding everything that is available and all procedures to ensure guest comfort.
To maintain a sense of order and efficiency for spa operations via proper scheduling of guest and staff appointments.
To handle the billing for spa services, membership sales, retail sales.
To ensure a pleasant visit for each guest.
To help implement membership sales.
To coordinate and direct service to ensure a superior level of guest satisfaction.
Essential Functions:
To ensure the retail shop is fully stocked and merchandised at all times.
To maintain the cleanliness of the retail area.
Confirms appointments for following day
Properly book appointments evenly and fairly
Coordinate the guest and staff appointments to assure a smooth flow
Works with accounting to resolve any billing problems
Recommends and participates in the retail sales
Makes appointments for ala carte services/activities and packages.
Answers the telephone, makes appointments, answers questions, directs the calls, etc.
Prepares appointment cards for guests and sells spa gift certificates..
Monitors all monies for services, retail sales.
Maintains favorable relations with guests and ascertaining that a high level of guest and product service is provided.
Establishes and maintains contact with existing potential guests.
Ensures a pleasant visit for each guest.
Maintains inventory needs and supplies for the reception/front desk.
Works cooperatively and professionally with all departments.
Prepare all receipts for services and retail sales when necessary.
Performs special projects as required by the Spa Director and/or MOD
Attends any meetings with other departments at the spa or the resort which can help promote business
Monitors trouble-shooting needs
Issues robes, slippers, lockers and locker keys for guests taking services when necessary
Answers the telephone and direct calls as appropriate
Conducts tours of the facility
Maintains cleanliness and neatness of the facility
Knowledge of all treatments and products and is able to explain to guests and team.
Other:
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which will be established by Hilton and Spa Director is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Hilton rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities. Employees who violate Hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
